How a16z-backed DATA is rethinking its blockchain strategy after $30 million Sui deal
Muttoni did not disclose how much of Story’s original $140 million in funding remains, but said its existing investors, including a16z crypto, are still involved.
Now, Muttoni is positioning the new focus as a continuation of the first rebrand rather than another change in direction.
Finding a market in AI data
The company’s new strategy grew partly out of its experience with Poseidon, an AI data company incubated by the Story team that collects and processes data for training AI models.
Muttoni said the team found a market where buyers often had little way to check whether the datasets they were purchasing were original, properly licensed or even exclusive. In one case, vendors offered Poseidon supposedly exclusive datasets that were already available from other sellers.
“We were at one point given our own data set back to us,” he said.
DATA is trying to address that problem through its product, Trace.
For example, when someone uploads a video or voice recording via a participating data marketplace, Trace creates a receipt for that file. The record includes details such as when it was submitted, the terms the contributor agreed to and any later licensing or payment events.
Kled, a marketplace that pays people to contribute data, accounts for much of the activity. Muttoni said the platform is adding between 3 million and 4 million contributions a day, including older records being brought onto Trace.

Co-founder John Lilic to lay out Tria’s institutional self-custody thesis as the company brings the infrastructure behind its profitable global neobank to major platforms
Tria, the self-custodial neofinance platform for trading, earning, spending and moving assets across chains, today announced a major presence at Korea Blockchain Week 2026 (KBW2026), joining as a Diamond Sponsor and bringing CEO Vijit Katta and Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer John Lilic to Seoul.
Tria is one of only two Diamond Sponsors announced for KBW2026, which runs September 29 through October 1. The sponsorship comes as Tria deepens its presence in Asia and begins taking the infrastructure proven inside its own consumer neobank to institutions and large platforms building financial products for their existing audiences.
Tria’s thesis is that every company with a large audience increasingly has the opportunity to become a financial company. The obstacle is the years of infrastructure work required to get there: custody, compliance, fiat connectivity, blockchain integrations, liquidity and settlement, often stitched together across vendors that were never designed to operate as one system.
Tria has collapsed those layers into a single stack combining banking-grade self-custody, multi-chain settlement, proprietary BestPath routing and a unified compliance layer across fiat and blockchain networks. It proved the stack first by building and operating its own global neobank on top of it.
Nine months after launch, Tria has more than 600k unique accounts across 150+ countries, has generated more than $8.5 million in revenue and became profitable in its eighth month, with zero paid customer acquisition. Japan and Korea together account for nearly two-thirds of revenue, giving Tria significant operating exposure to two of the world’s most sophisticated digital-asset markets.
“Japan and Korea are showing us what happens when sophisticated users stop accepting a tradeoff between usability and ownership,” said Vijit Katta, CEO of Tria. “We built Tria to prove that self-custody can feel as seamless as the best fintech products. Now we’re giving institutions that same infrastructure so they can build for millions of users without spending years recreating it.”
At KBW2026, Lilic will present “The Self-Custodial Banking Stack Institutions Build On,” examining why self-custody is evolving from a crypto-native principle into an infrastructure model for mainstream financial products. He will address what Tria learned operating the stack at consumer scale, why fragmented custody, compliance and blockchain systems break down as companies grow, and how institutions can embed financial products without exposing users to the complexity underneath them.
The institutional rollout has already begun. Lissen, a music streaming and creator economy platform reaching more than 12 million artists has signed to launch on Tria’s infrastructure, while the digital venture arm of one of the world’s largest entertainment companies has signed an MOU, with both expected to move from integration to market in months rather than years.
Those deployments also strengthen the underlying network. Consumer and institutional volume run through the same routing infrastructure and common identity and compliance architecture, meaning each additional platform brings more transaction activity, routing intelligence and history that future deployments can inherit.
“Crypto has spent years talking about bringing institutions onchain, but the harder problem is giving institutions infrastructure they can actually build their high margin products on,” said John Lilic, Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Tria. “A music platform, marketplace or consumer app should not need to become an expert in custody, liquidity, compliance and dozens of chains before it can offer a financial product. Those problems should disappear into the infrastructure while the user keeps control.”
Tria’s consumer platform currently enables users to trade, earn, spend and move assets across more than 200 chains while retaining control of their funds, with card payments available across more than 150 countries. The same infrastructure is now being opened to companies that already have distribution but do not want to spend years assembling the financial and blockchain systems required to serve their users.
Katta and Lilic will be available for media meetings in Seoul during Korea Blockchain Week and for advance interviews ahead of the event. They can discuss Tria’s growth in Korea and Japan, the institutional case for self-custody, why major consumer platforms are moving into financial services, and what Tria learned from building a profitable neobank on its own infrastructure.

The first thing that comes to mind when you think about blockchain jobs is the six-figure salary. However, any beginner searching for blockchain jobs with no experience is likely to end up with disappointment when they look at most of the blockchain job descriptions. You will have a hard time understanding how an ‘entry-level’ role requires at least five years of professional Web3 experience.
- The blockchain job market introduced almost 66,500 new crypto jobs in 2025, which is 47% higher from the previous year. (Source)
- As of 2025, the global blockchain industry has employed around 1.6 million professionals in various sectors. (Source)
Even with the massive fluctuations in crypto markets worldwide, the demand for blockchain talent continues growing. Employers not only look for developers and engineers but also experts who understand the broader blockchain space and can contribute valuable outcomes to their blockchain and Web3 projects. You can get a job in the blockchain space without any prior experience when you know what you have to do and what to avoid.
Build your identity as a certified blockchain expert with 101 Blockchains’ Blockchain Certifications designed to provide enhanced career prospects.
General Approach to Finding Blockchain Jobs with No Experience
Many people who want blockchain jobs start by spending months reading about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. The candidates then take online courses and certifications to prove their capabilities for different blockchain jobs. Subsequently, candidates update their resume with phrases like “interested in blockchain” or “blockchain and crypto enthusiast”. However, these methods seem to have little impact when the candidates get zero responses for job applications.
Anyone trying to find how to get a job in crypto with no experience must know that hundreds of people are trying to follow the general approach. It is important to understand that reading about crypto does not mean that you are eligible to work on crypto projects. On top of it, applying for multiple jobs on job boards lands you up in the middle of intense competition.
You should remember that companies want blockchain experts who can do the job and not people who can learn on the job. Employers look for specific things in candidates who apply for blockchain jobs to find the ideal candidate for specific roles.
- The candidate’s resume must show a list of specific and transferable skills that can deliver clear results.
- Your cover letter should outline the projects that you have worked on in the blockchain and crypto space.
- Candidates can also build a strong portfolio with a list of public and open-source projects where they demonstrated their skills.
- The GitHub of a candidate serves as verifiable proof of their active contributions in projects under development.

Understanding the Significance of a Strong Portfolio
If you are preparing for blockchain jobs without any prior experience, then you are might be focusing on creating CVs. Many candidates believe that an appealing CV is the best way to attract the attention of employers. However, shifting the focus towards building a strong portfolio can make a huge difference.
Professionals working in crypto jobs remote no experience roles don’t wait for employers to give them a chance. On the contrary, they created their own reputation by participating and contributing to real-world projects before anyone hired them. The essential tricks to create a portfolio that can help you land blockchain jobs without any experience can offer significant benefits for your career.
- Always choose a specific area where you want to work in, such as development, content, design, or analysis.
- Participate in public projects, whether it is a new smart contract or analysis of codebase.
- Gain experience in using crypto products as it will empower you with technical acumen.
- Share your work across different platforms, including Twitter, Medium, and GitHub.
- Look for opportunities to engage with the blockchain and crypto community on Discord and across different forums and events.
Unraveling the Best Practices to Stand Out in a Crowded Job Market
The competition for blockchain jobs is growing at an unprecedented pace and you can see it clearly in the number of applicants for crypto jobs. As the market grows more saturated, it is difficult for people without any experience to find blockchain jobs. You need to stand out from the crowd, even for entry level blockchain jobs, by following the best practices suggested by experts.
1. Maintain Specificity in Your Resume
If you take a look at most of the candidate resumes for blockchain jobs, you will find generic descriptions. Employers know that they are hiring for the role of a blockchain developer or analyst and don’t want candidates looking for “opportunities”.
You can grab the attention of a recruiter by mentioning specific details about your blockchain expertise. Candidates can point out that they are fluent in Solidity development, know the best practices for DeFi security, and have deployed smart contracts. Providing specific details makes it difficult for employers to forget your application and increases your chances of securing the job.
Create new, high-level, innovative blockchain solutions for different industries as a highly-skilled blockchain developer with a Blockchain Developer Career Path.
2. Build Your Skills and Portfolio in Public
One of the unique things that beginners should try to find blockchain jobs without any experience is to share their journey in public. Posting small achievements on Twitter or social media and forums alongside maintaining documentation of your learning journey can change your career trajectory.
Sharing your progress in public will help in building your reputation as you learn new skills and also creates accountability. It will also prove that you are a good communicator and know how to present your views, which is a valuable skill in any professional. Most important of all, your public image as a blockchain expert will also attract opportunities you never knew existed.
3. Work on Real-World Projects
Building another generic smart contract or NFT project may sound like the best choice for your portfolio. However, finding blockchain jobs with no experience requires expertise in solving problems in the real-world. You should showcase your ability to solve a problem that you have personally experienced.
Candidates can build a tool to estimate gas fees or write a comprehensive guide on bridging assets between blockchain networks. When you show that you know how to solve real problems, you convince the employers that you bring real value to the table.
4. Contribute to Existing Projects
Beginners preparing for blockchain jobs without any experience may think that building a new project from scratch is extremely difficult. It is important to know that you don’t have to build from zero to showcase your blockchain expertise. You can try many other things, such as,
- Fixing bugs in open-source projects
- Improving the documentation for blockchain protocols
- Designing better UX for existing apps
- Creating tutorials for existing crypto tools and projects
- Give relevant answers to questions on Discord and other online forums
The efforts you invest in existing projects will enhance your hands-on experience and credibility. You can also build connections with the team behind the existing projects and expand your professional network. As a matter of fact, the references from the team can show that you have genuinely contributed to the project.
5. Focus on Niches and Maintain Consistency
Candidates looking for blockchain jobs with zero experience often make the mistake of ignoring the importance of choosing a niche. If you say that you are interested in DeFi, NFTs, metaverse, and DAOs, the recruiter cannot decide which role will be the best for you. With a specific niche, you can prove that you are not another generalist who knows little about everything.
As you pursue your favorite blockchain jobs as a beginner, it may be difficult to maintain the same consistency throughout. Therefore, you should always look for steady progress in your learning journey and build your skills one week at a time.
Final Thoughts
Every candidate who wants to know how to get a job in crypto with no experience must understand that the experience does not come only from a job. You have to show proof that you can do the job and get things done rather than telling employers that you know things. Beginners can start with online courses and certifications, followed by picking a specific niche and participating in real-world projects to gain experience. Choose the right platform for blockchain training, and you will find the fastest path to your favorite blockchain job now.

An Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) shareholder plans to seek Federal Court permission to sue certain former ASX officers and directors over alleged breaches of duty connected to its failed blockchain-based clearing and settlement overhaul.
On Wednesday, ASX said Rosherville Pty Ltd had notified the exchange that it proposes to apply for leave to commence a statutory derivative action under sections 236 and 237 of Australia’s Corporations Act. If approved, Rosherville would bring the proceedings on ASX’s behalf.
The exchange said there were no allegations against ASX itself. It did not identify the former officials targeted, describe their alleged breaches in detail or disclose the remedies Rosherville intends to seek, while the court has not considered whether the proposed case can proceed.
The proposed lawsuit could test whether shareholders can hold former ASX leaders accountable for overseeing one of Australia’s costliest financial-technology failures.
Failed CHESS overhaul draws regulatory action
ASX began exploring a replacement for its Clearing House Electronic Subregister System, or CHESS, in 2016 and selected a distributed-ledger system developed with New York-based Digital Asset. In December 2017, ASX was expected to become the first securities exchange to use blockchain for its core services.
The intended launch was repeatedly postponed. In November 2022, ASX paused the project after an Accenture review found significant problems with its design and ability to meet the exchange’s requirements. In May 2023, ASX had formally abandoned blockchain for the replacement and would consider more conventional technology.

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) sued ASX in August 2024, alleging it lacked a reasonable basis for telling the market in February 2022 that the project was “progressing well” and on track for an April 2023 launch. At the time, ASIC called the episode a collective failure by ASX’s board and senior executives.
In June 2026, ASX admitted to misleading conduct linked to the blockchain replacement project. On July 3, the Federal Court ordered the company to pay a $14.4 million penalty and $2.1 million toward ASIC’s costs, closing the regulator’s case weeks before Rosherville notified the exchange of its proposed action against former officials.

Since over $70 million in Bitcoin was stolen yesterday by an attack that exploited a fault in the Coldcard’s system, it has been reported that the thief used a top blockchain services provider for help.
Writing on X Friday, engineer at payments company Block, Clay Garrett, said that the provider — who he did not name at the request of the services provider — had been contacted after finding blockchain movements matched the “suspected workflow” of the attacker.
“During our investigation of the Coldcard drain yesterday, we identified an unusual pattern in the sweeps,” Garrett said.
“That pattern led us to a hypothesis that has since been confirmed: the operator used a paid account at a well-known blockchain-services provider to query the source addresses and perform other related activity during the sweeps,” Garrett continued, adding that the authorities had been notified.
Galaxy Digital’s research arm also wrote on X that the thief had an unusual pattern of moving the coins.
“The pattern tells us these were all the same attacker — it does not capture the attack itself, which looks the same as if a coin owner chose to move coins,” the company said, adding that Bitcoiners should move funds out of single-signature Coldcard addresses and into secure custody.
After over $35 million in Bitcoin was drained from wallets on Thursday, Coinkite said that a firmware bug in Coldcard Mk3 devices — starting with version 4.0.1 in March 2021 — caused seed generation to fall back to a weak software Pseudorandom Number Generator instead of the hardware true random number generator.
This allowed private keys for many single-signature wallets (especially those created without dice rolls or a strong BIP-39 passphrase) predictable enough for attackers to brute-force.
Later on Friday, Coinkite admitted all of its models were vulnerable following more thefts. Over $70 million has so far been swiped and engineers have warned that more Bitcoin addresses could be at risk.
The company makes a number of Bitcoin products, including cold storage hardware wallets.
Crypto Press Releases Continue to Drive Visibility, Trust, and Long-Term Growth for Blockchain Projects
As competition intensifies across the digital asset industry, strategic press release distribution remains a key component of brand awareness, search visibility, and investor engagement.
As the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem continues to expand, projects are facing increasing challenges in reaching their target audiences. Thousands of new platforms, decentralized applications, exchanges, token launches, and Web3 initiatives compete for attention every month, making it more difficult than ever to stand out.
Industry observers note that while social media campaigns and community engagement remain valuable, professionally distributed press releases continue to play a significant role in helping projects communicate major announcements, establish credibility, and build long-term online visibility.
A well-structured press release provides an official record of important developments, allowing investors, partners, journalists, and community members to access accurate information directly from the source.
Press Releases Continue to Strengthen Market Credibility
In today’s rapidly evolving digital asset landscape, trust remains one of the most valuable assets for any blockchain project.
Whether announcing a product launch, funding round, strategic partnership, exchange listing, protocol upgrade, or ecosystem expansion, an official press release demonstrates transparency and commitment to keeping stakeholders informed.
Unlike temporary social media updates that may quickly disappear from users’ feeds, published press releases create permanent, searchable content that can continue attracting readers long after the initial announcement.
Increased Visibility Across Search Engines
Search visibility has become increasingly important as cryptocurrency projects compete for both users and investors.
Press releases help expand a project’s online footprint by publishing authoritative content that search engines can discover and index. This additional visibility supports branded search growth and makes it easier for potential customers, investors, and partners to find official project information.
Publishing announcements consistently also contributes to a stronger digital presence by creating additional content around major business milestones.
AI Search Is Changing Content Discovery
As AI-powered search assistants become more widely used, discoverability extends beyond traditional search engines.
Projects with consistent public announcements published across reputable websites are more likely to establish a recognizable online presence, increasing the likelihood that AI-powered systems reference accurate and up-to-date information when responding to user queries.
Maintaining a documented history of announcements helps reinforce a project’s authority while improving overall digital visibility.
Supporting Investor Confidence
Investors increasingly conduct comprehensive research before participating in blockchain projects.
Public announcements documenting product development, partnerships, ecosystem growth, funding milestones, and technological advancements provide valuable insight into a project’s progress over time.
A consistent history of transparent communication may help strengthen confidence among prospective investors and business partners.
Important Milestones Worth Announcing
Organizations commonly issue press releases for significant developments, including:
- Product launches
- Blockchain mainnet releases
- Exchange listings
- Strategic partnerships
- Investment announcements
- Ecosystem expansion
- Token launches
- Security improvements
- Community milestones
- New platform features
Each announcement contributes to a growing archive of official communications that documents the evolution of the project.
Distribution Quality Remains a Key Consideration
Industry professionals generally agree that the effectiveness of a press release depends not only on the quality of the announcement itself but also on where it is published.
Distribution through relevant cryptocurrency and blockchain publications can help maximize exposure among audiences actively following industry developments.
Selecting appropriate publishing channels allows organizations to reach investors, developers, businesses, media outlets, and blockchain enthusiasts who regularly consume cryptocurrency news.
Long-Term Value Beyond the Initial Announcement
Unlike paid advertising campaigns that stop generating exposure once budgets are exhausted, published press releases may continue attracting traffic through search engines and online references for months or even years.
This long-term visibility can support ongoing brand recognition while creating a permanent record of major company achievements.
As blockchain adoption continues worldwide, maintaining an accessible archive of official announcements becomes increasingly valuable for organizations seeking sustainable growth.
About Crypto Press Release Distribution
Crypto press release distribution is a communication strategy used by blockchain organizations to publish official announcements across cryptocurrency-focused news platforms and digital publications. The objective is to increase visibility, improve transparency, communicate important developments, and make verified project information more accessible to investors, partners, media organizations, and the broader blockchain community.
For organizations evaluating publication options and best practices, additional guidance is available in the article “Best Crypto Press Release Distribution Service in 2026,” which provides an overview of the factors to consider when selecting a distribution partner.

Autheo Pitches Decentralized Operating System For AI Agents And Blockchain
Autheo is pitching a decentralized coordination layer for one of crypto’s hottest crossover themes: autonomous AI agents. The project says its Internet Operating System is designed to help AI agents interact with blockchain networks and execute tasks without relying on a traditional centralized stack.
The announcement lands in a market where AI and crypto narratives often move faster than working products. That makes the details important. The real question is not whether AI agents sound exciting, but whether they can use decentralized infrastructure in a way that is secure, auditable, and practical.
For more details, visit the official Chainwire platform.
TL;DR
- Autheo introduced an Internet Operating System for blockchain-connected AI agents.
- The project is positioning itself as a coordination layer for autonomous transactions and decentralized applications.
- The idea is ambitious, but execution risk remains high for early-stage AI-crypto infrastructure.
Why AI Agents Need Crypto Rails
AI agents are often described as software that can make decisions, interact with services, and complete tasks for users. In a blockchain context, that could mean managing transactions, signing messages, coordinating payments, or interacting with smart contracts.
That opportunity comes with obvious risks. Agents need permissions. They need limits. They need a way to prove what they did and why. A decentralized coordination layer is one attempt to give that activity a more transparent foundation.
A Big Narrative With A Hard Build Ahead
The AI-crypto category has attracted plenty of attention, but the gap between narrative and adoption is still wide. Projects in this space need to show more than a pitch deck. They need working architecture, developer adoption, security reviews, and clear reasons for why blockchain improves the agent workflow.
Autheo’s announcement gives traders another name to watch in that sector. Whether it becomes a durable infrastructure play will depend on what developers can actually build on top of it, not just how well the AI-agent theme performs in the market.
Where The Narrative Could Go Next
The strongest version of the AI-agent thesis is not a chatbot buying tokens. It is software coordinating tasks, payments, data, identity, and smart-contract actions with minimal human input. That vision requires infrastructure that can handle permissions and accountability.
Crypto can help with payments, transparency, and execution records. It cannot magically solve every AI safety or reliability problem. Projects such as Autheo will need to show that decentralized coordination creates real advantages over standard cloud infrastructure.
That makes this a watchlist story more than a finished adoption story. The sector is early, but the market is clearly interested in the intersection of AI automation and blockchain settlement.
Investors should also separate infrastructure claims from token hype. The projects that last in this category will likely be the ones that solve boring coordination problems for developers, not simply the ones that attach AI branding to a crypto network.
The cleaner takeaway is to treat this as a specific development inside Crypto, not as a blanket prediction for the whole market. It gives readers a concrete data point to watch while keeping the limits of the story clear.
