Rent TRON Energy and Reduce USDT Fees : TronBid Expands Marketplace

by admin August 26, 2026

written by admin

Berlin, Germany, August 26th, 2026, Chainwire

TronBid expands its two-sided TRON resource marketplace, giving users new ways to rent Energy, trade Energy and Bandwidth, and reduce USDT fees for TRC-20 transactions.

TronBid, a peer-to-peer marketplace for TRON network resources, has expanded its platform with new tools for users looking to rent TRON Energy, manage transaction costs and access network resources without maintaining large amounts of staked TRX.

The platform now operates as a two-sided marketplace where both buyers and sellers can create orders for TRON Energy and Bandwidth.

Understanding TRON Energy Usage

TRON uses Energy and Bandwidth as its primary network resources. Energy is required for smart-contract computation, including USDT TRC-20 transfers.

When a wallet does not have sufficient Energy, TRX may be consumed to cover the resources required by the transaction. This has created demand for users and businesses to rent Energy instead.

By receiving temporary Energy delegated from another account, users can perform eligible TRON transactions without maintaining enough staked TRX for their maximum resource requirements.

For businesses processing frequent TRC-20 transactions, choosing to rent TRON Energy can therefore provide another way to manage network costs and reduce USDT fees.

A Two-Sided Marketplace for Energy

Unlike platforms where rental conditions are determined entirely by the provider, TronBid allows both sides of the market to create orders.

Buyers can create BUY orders specifying the amount of Energy required, rental duration and price they are willing to pay.

Sellers can create SELL offers with their own amount, price and rental period. Buyers can purchase all or part of these offers directly.

For example, if a seller offers 600,000 Energy, one buyer can rent 350,000 Energy, leaving the remaining amount available for other buyers.

Creating a SELL offer does not reserve the seller’s Energy. If resources become unavailable because they are being used elsewhere, recurring offers can automatically pause and become active again when sufficient Energy returns.

This allows sellers to participate in the TronBid marketplace while continuing to manage their resources elsewhere.

Rent Energy Without Waiting for the Marketplace

For users who need resources immediately, TronBid also provides Quick Rent with predefined Energy packages and short rental periods.

Energy can be delivered directly to any specified TRON address, even when payment is made from another wallet.

TronBid has also introduced Flash Recharge, an alternative designed for wallets that already maintain their own Energy capacity but need to manage consumed resources.

Energy and Bandwidth Trading

TronBid’s marketplace supports both Energy and Bandwidth, allowing holders of staked TRX to monetize the network resources their stake generates.

This creates two sides of the ecosystem: users who need to rent TRON Energy or Bandwidth and resource owners looking to make unused capacity available to the market.

By allowing both buyers and sellers to determine their own terms, TronBid aims to create more transparent price discovery based on actual supply and demand.

B2B API to Reduce USDT Fees at Scale

TronBid also provides a B2B Quick Rent API for exchanges, payment processors, wallets, OTC services and other businesses processing frequent TRON transactions.

Businesses can maintain a prepaid balance and automatically request Energy for specified TRON addresses before executing transactions.

Instead of manually renting resources for every transfer, companies can integrate Energy rental directly into their transaction infrastructure.

For businesses handling large numbers of USDT TRC-20 transfers, this can make it easier to rent Energy automatically and manage the network-resource component of transaction costs.

TronBid Becomes a TRON SR Partner

Alongside the expansion of its marketplace, TronBid has become a TRON Super Representative Partner, adding the project to TRON’s delegated proof-of-stake governance ecosystem.

The development strengthens TronBid’s connection with the underlying TRON ecosystem while the platform continues building infrastructure around Energy and Bandwidth.

About TronBid

TronBid is a peer-to-peer marketplace for TRON Energy and Bandwidth. Buyers can rent TRON Energy, create BUY orders or purchase existing seller offers, while resource owners can create SELL offers with their own prices and rental periods.

The platform also provides Quick Rent, Flash Recharge and a B2B API for businesses looking to automate Energy rental and reduce USDT fees for TRC-20 transactions.

Coinbase Investor Class Action Can Move Forward, Federal Judge Rules

by admin August 26, 2026

written by admin

A federal judge has allowed parts of an investor class-action lawsuit against Coinbase and certain executives to proceed, keeping allegations over risk disclosures alive in court.

US District Judge Katherine Polk Failla ruled on August 20 that some claims could move into discovery. The court dismissed several claims but allowed allegations that Coinbase misled investors by concealing potential bankruptcy risks and downplaying SEC scrutiny to proceed.

The ruling is procedural.

It does not mean Coinbase has been found liable. It does not prove wrongdoing. It means the plaintiffs cleared enough of an early legal hurdle for certain claims to continue.

TL;DR

A federal judge allowed parts of a Coinbase investor class action to proceed.
The claims center on risk disclosures tied to bankruptcy and SEC scrutiny.
The ruling does not decide liability.

Why The Case Matters

Coinbase is one of the most important public companies in crypto.

Its disclosures, risk factors, regulatory statements, and investor communications are watched closely by both traditional markets and digital asset investors. A securities class action against the company therefore has broader relevance.

The case goes to a familiar question.

How much risk must crypto companies disclose, and how clearly must they explain regulatory uncertainty to investors?

That question has become more important as crypto firms operate in public markets, face agency scrutiny, and deal with fast-changing rules.

Risk Disclosure Is The Core Issue

The surviving claims reportedly concern whether Coinbase adequately disclosed certain risks.

Investors say the company concealed or downplayed potential bankruptcy-related concerns and regulatory scrutiny. Coinbase can still defend itself, and the facts remain contested.

But the court’s decision means those claims can proceed into discovery.

Discovery matters because it can force production of documents, communications, internal analysis, and testimony. That process can be expensive and revealing, even if a company ultimately wins.

Public Crypto Companies Face A Higher Bar

Private crypto firms can often operate with limited disclosure.

Public companies cannot. They must file risk factors, financial statements, management discussion, legal updates, and material event disclosures. Investors rely on those filings when buying shares.

That creates legal exposure.

If plaintiffs believe a company misrepresented risks or omitted material information, they may bring securities claims. Courts then decide which claims are strong enough to proceed.

Coinbase is not alone in facing this type of scrutiny, but its position makes the case especially visible.

No Liability Finding Yet

The caution is essential.

A motion-stage ruling is not a verdict. The court did not conclude that Coinbase misled investors. It only allowed certain allegations to continue.

Many class actions narrow over time.

Claims can be dismissed later, settled, or defeated after discovery. Coinbase can still challenge the allegations and defend its disclosures.

Markets should not treat the ruling as proof of wrongdoing.

Why Crypto Regulation Remains Central

The case also shows how regulatory uncertainty can become a securities-law issue.

If a crypto company’s business depends heavily on regulatory treatment, investors may argue that regulatory risk is material. Companies then need to describe that risk clearly enough that investors understand the potential impact.

That is difficult in crypto because rules can shift quickly.

SEC scrutiny, exchange registration questions, custody concerns, staking services, token listings, and bankruptcy treatment can all affect business models.

Coinbase operates directly inside that uncertainty.

What Comes Next

The case now moves forward on the surviving claims.

Discovery will determine what evidence the plaintiffs can obtain and how Coinbase responds. The company may later seek dismissal, summary judgment, settlement, or trial depending on how the case develops.

For now, the key takeaway is narrow but important.

Coinbase has not been found liable, but it must continue defending parts of an investor lawsuit over risk disclosures.

That keeps public-company crypto disclosure standards in the spotlight.

Term Finance Permanently Shuts Meta Vaults After Exploit PeckShield Estimated at $8.5 Million

by admin August 25, 2026

written by admin

Withdrawals remain open, but Term’s Aug. 23 update did not quantify remaining vault assets and only said it would explore ways to address any shortfall.

Term Labs said all Term Meta Vaults have been shut down and DAO governance roles revoked after a governance exploit hit the vault product, while withdrawals remain open.

In an Aug. 23 update, Term said the shutdown is irreversible and permanently prevents further deposits. The update did not quantify assets remaining in the vaults. It said the company would “explore paths” to address any shortfall, leaving the amount depositors can recover unresolved.

Blockchain security firm PeckShield estimated that the attacker drained about 2,843 ETH, then worth $6.87 million, and 1.68 million USDC that was swapped into roughly 1.68 million DAI. PeckShield put the total at about $8.5 million; Term’s update did not give its own loss estimate.

Onchain records corroborate the transferred amounts. One successful Ethereum transaction sent 2,841.74 WETH to an address Etherscan labels “Term Finance Exploiter 1.” A second transaction sent 1.68 million USDC to an address labeled “Term Finance Exploiter 2.”

Custom Governance Wrapper

Yearn said Term’s vault contracts use its V3 architecture, but that the exploit occurred through Term’s custom governance wrapper. Yearn said the attack vector did not apply to standard Yearn vault setups.

Term’s governance documentation describes a proposal path from a Proposer Safe through a seven-day delay and Governor Safe to a vault. It says the governor role oversees governance actions, risk parameters and emergency controls.

Term said it revoked DAO governance roles following an incident involving Term Vault governance. However, the Aug. 23 update did not identify the revoked roles, affected contract addresses or revocation transactions. Without those details or a postmortem, the statement does not establish whether the precise permissions used in the exploit were removed. The separately confirmed shutdown prevents new deposits, while withdrawals remain available.

Term said its underlying protocol and direct borrowing and lending markets had not been affected based on its investigation so far, while it continued to verify the scope. Yearn separately said standard Yearn vaults were unaffected.

Term said it is coordinating with external security teams on remediation and recovery. “If a shortfall remains, we will explore paths to address it,” the company said. The update did not include a reimbursement commitment or recovery timetable.

What’s the Deal With Nancy Pelosi and the Bloom Energy Stock Surge?

by admin August 25, 2026

written by admin

In brief

Accounts owned by Nancy Pelosi’s husband bought 15,000 Bloom Energy shares and 200 call options in late July.
The second purchase came shortly before Bloom reported record quarterly results, with the stock jumping more than 26% by the July 30 close.
The trades became public weeks later under the STOCK Act, adding to scrutiny of congressional stock trading.

Bloom Energy shares jumped more than 6% in premarket trading Tuesday after a financial disclosure from Representative Nancy Pelosi revealed a multimillion-dollar household investment in the fuel-cell company.

While the disclosure appears to have spiked Bloom Energy’s price this week, Pelosi’s trades were made a month earlier. What’s more, Pelosi’s position in Bloom has netted a 26% gain since the purchases were made.

Myriad: NVIDIA Lows in August? Click to make your prediction.

It’s a familiar story when it comes to Pelosi and stock trades, which has garnered the former House speaker intense criticism over the years—and her very own stock tracker on Unusual Whales where other investors can copy her trades.

Pelosi disclosed millions of dollars in Bloom Energy investments late last week and weeks after shares and options were purchased through her husband’s accounts, including a purchase shortly before the fuel-cell company reported record quarterly results.

The House disclosure shows Bloom shares and call options were purchased on July 24 and July 28. The accounts belong to Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, according to a report by Barron’s. The trades weren’t disclosed until August 21 and later appeared on congressional trading tracker Unusual Whales.

The disclosure shows 15,000 Bloom shares and 200 call options were purchased across the two dates. The options have a $100 strike price and expire in June 2027. The transactions were reported in ranges totaling $3 million to $12 million, though congressional disclosures don’t reveal exact amounts.

Based in San Jose, California, Bloom Energy makes fuel-cell systems that power data centers and other large facilities. The company reported record second-quarter revenue above $1 billion after the market closed on July 28, the same day as Pelosi’s second purchase, with shares rising 26.5% by July 30.

Bloom traded at $184.89 when 10,000 shares were purchased on July 24 and $166.84 when another 5,000 shares were purchased on July 28.

According to investment research platform Quiver Quantitative, Bloom spent $60,000 on federal lobbying in the second quarter on tax issues involving fuel cells, electrolyzers, hydrogen, and carbon capture.

The Bloom trades add to years of scrutiny over Pelosi’s financial disclosures. Her family’s investments have drawn accusations that they benefit from information available through her position in Congress. Pelosi has denied insider-trading allegations, and fact-checkers have found no evidence supporting several widely circulated claims about her family’s trades.

Myriad: How high will gold go in August? Click to make your prediction.

“Speaker Pelosi does not own any stocks and has no knowledge or subsequent involvement in any transactions,” a Pelosi office spokesperson told Barron’s.

In 2021, Pelosi defended lawmakers’ ability to trade stocks, saying the U.S. is a “free-market economy,” though she later backed restrictions.

The 2012 STOCK Act subjects lawmakers to insider-trading laws and generally requires trades over $1,000 to be disclosed within 45 days, but does not prohibit lawmakers or their spouses from trading individual stocks.

On July 22, Pelosi voted against House bill H.R.700, which would impose tighter restrictions on lawmakers and their families. Two days later, the first Bloom transactions were made.

Bitcoin Price Returns To $80,000 For First Time In 100 Days

by admin August 24, 2026

Bitcoin (BTC) passed $80,000 after Monday’s Wall Street open as bulls built on last week’s snap BTC price rally.

Key points:

Bitcoin hits $80,000 for the first time since mid-May as bullish momentum gathered pace.
BTC price analysis warns that the market still needs to sustain higher levels to challenge the bear-market thesis.

Bitcoin returns to $80,000 after 100-day hiatus

Data from TradingView showed BTC/USD passing the $80,000 for the first time since May 15, up another 3% on the day before pulling back following the European close.

The move spurred an uptick in crypto short liquidations, with these passing $220 million over the 24 hours to the time of writing, per data from CoinGlass. A band of bid liquidity centered on $76,700, potentially offering support in the event of a downward BTC price reversal.

Analyst: BTC rebound must prove staying power

Bitcoin was up 25% month-to-date, seeing its best August performance since 2017 and increasingly diverging from bear-market norms. Earlier, Cointelegraph reported on concerns among some traders that bearish history could still repeat, with downside reemerging from September onward to spark a final capitulation to new macro lows.

“Bitcoin has Weekly Closed at the highs. Now starts the real test,” trader and analyst Rekt Capital wrote in his latest market commentary on X.

“If this is a Bear Market Relief Rally, then Bitcoin could pullback as early as this week, or at least over the next few weeks. Now it’s all about Bitcoin proving sustained strength.”

Rekt Capital had eyed the 50-week exponential moving average in particular, currently at $77,251, as price achieved its first weekly close above it since November 2025. During Bitcoin’s 2022 bear market, BTC/USD achieved two weekly closes above that trend line before dropping to cycle lows.

Bitmine owns 4.8% of the total ETH coin supply of 120.7 million

Bitmine is 97% of the way to the ‘Alchemy of 5%’ in just 14 months

ETH gained 30% in the past week, the largest weekly gain since May 2025 and July 2021. Both precedent instances were followed by subsequent gains of +170% and +167%, respectively.

Bitmine was added to the Russell 1000 Large-cap index on June 26, 2026

Bitmine’s Series A Preferred Stock is trading on the NYSE under the symbol BMNP

Bitmine has 5,067,309 staked ETH, representing $12.4 billion at $2,440 per ETH. MAVAN (Made in America VAlidator Network) is a premier Ethereum staking destination for BMNR and institutional investors

Bitmine owns $89 million of Eightco (NASDAQ: ORBS), now one of the only publicly listed equities in the world to provide investors indirect exposure to OpenAI

Bitmine Crypto + Total Cash Holdings & Marketable Securities + “Moonshots” total $14.9 billion, including 5.85 million ETH tokens, total cash & marketable securities of $308 million, and other crypto holdings

Bitmine remains supported by a premier group of institutional investors including ARK’s Cathie Wood, MOZAYYX, Founders Fund, Bill Miller III, Pantera, Kraken, DCG, Galaxy Digital and personal investor Thomas “Tom” Lee to support Bitmine’s goal of acquiring 5% of ETH

NORWALK, Conn., Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — (NYSE: BMNR) Bitmine Immersion Technologies, Inc. (“Bitmine” or the “Company”) a Bitcoin and Ethereum Network company with a focus on the accumulation of crypto for long term investment, today announced Bitmine crypto + total cash & marketable securities + “moonshots” holdings totaling $14.9 billion.

As of August 23, 2026 at 2:00pm ET, the Company’s crypto holdings are comprised of 5,847,611 ETH at $2,440 per ETH (per Coinbase NASDAQ: COIN), 210 Bitcoin (BTC), $180 million stake in Beast Industries, $89 million stake in Eightco Holdings (NASDAQ: ORBS) (“moonshots”) and total cash & marketable securities of $308 million. Bitmine’s ETH holdings are 4.8% of the ETH supply (of 120.7 million ETH).

“ETH gained 30% in the past week. This is the largest weekly gain since May 2025, prior to that it was July 2021. In those two precedent instances, this weekly gain of >30% signaled a launch point for a larger move in ETH. In July 2021, ETH subsequently gained +167% and after May 2025, ETH gained +170%,” stated Thomas “Tom” Lee, Chairman of Bitmine. “We expect easing financial conditions to be a tailwind for crypto.”

“We believe this upside move in ETH was overdue given the strengthening fundamentals in crypto, the multiple tailwinds of Wall Street tokenization, and agentic-AI. Moreover, the fact that the White House signaled support for crypto and the Treasury buying long-term bonds supported improved risk appetite,” stated Lee.

“This ETH/BTC ratio has moved up during crypto bull cycles, driven by increasing use of Ethereum relative to bitcoin. These prior cycles were fueled by ICOs (2017-2018), NFTs (2020-2021), and stablecoins (2025). In this upcoming crypto cycle, we see the ETH/BTC ratio rising, driven by Wall Street tokenizing on the blockchain and by agentic-AI using blockchains,” continued Lee.

“Over the past week, we acquired 32,447 ETH. Bitmine has bought ETH every week since the inception of the ETH Treasury Strategy on June 30, 2025 about 14 months ago,” stated Lee.

On July 16, 2026, Bitmine released the latest Chairman’s Message (link here) for July 2026. The title of the Message is “ETH is the cure for the Uncanny Valley of Wealth.”

Earlier in 2026, Bitmine launched MAVAN (the Made in America VAlidator Network), the institutional-grade staking platform. While MAVAN was originally developed to support Bitmine’s own Ethereum treasury, MAVAN intends to expand to serve institutional investors, custodians, and ecosystem partners seeking best-in-class staking infrastructure. A portion of Bitmine’s ETH is already staked on the MAVAN platform.

As of August 23, 2026, Bitmine total staked ETH stands at 5,067,309 ($12.4 billion at $2,440 per ETH). “Bitmine has staked more ETH than other entities in the world. At scale (when Bitmine’s ETH is fully staked by MAVAN and its staking partners), the projected ETH staking reward is $381 million on an annualized basis (using 2.67% 7-day BMNR yield),” stated Lee.

“Annualized staking revenues are now projected at $330 million. And this 5.1 million ETH is 87% of the 5.85 million ETH held by Bitmine. Bitmine’s own staking operations generated a 7-day yield of 2.67% (annualized),” continued Lee.

Bitmine’s crypto holdings reign as the #1 Ethereum treasury and #2 global treasury, behind Strategy Inc., which reportedly owns 840,447 BTC valued at approximately $70 billion. Bitmine remains the largest ETH treasury in the world.

Bitmine management believes the GENIUS Act and the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) Project Crypto are as transformational to financial services in 2026 as the US action on August 15, 1971, which ended the Bretton Woods system and took the U.S. dollar off the gold standard 55 years ago. This 1971 event was the catalyst for the modernization of Wall Street, creating the iconic Wall Street titans and financial and payment rails of today. These proved to be better investments than gold.

Factors that could cause or contribute to such differences include, but are not limited to: the extreme volatility and unpredictability of digital asset prices, including ETH and Bitcoin, and the speculative nature of digital asset investments; the risk that historical ETH price movements, including prior weekly gains and the price appreciation that followed them, will not recur or are not indicative of future performance; the Company’s reliance on third-party pricing sources and reported market values in calculating the value of its crypto, cash, marketable securities, and “moonshot” holdings, and the risk that such values fluctuate materially after the date and time referenced in this release; changes in market conditions affecting the trading price of the Company’s common stock and Series A Preferred Stock; the Company’s ability to successfully execute its digital asset acquisition strategy and achieve its ETH accumulation targets, including the “Alchemy of 5%” goal; the Company’s ability to finance its business operations, Ethereum treasury operations, and MAVAN expansion; operational, security, and technological risks associated with the Company’s staking and validation operations, including network failures, slashing events, cybersecurity breaches, and protocol changes; the risk that actual staking participation, yields, rewards, and revenues differ materially from the projected amounts described in this release, which are based on a 7-day yield and assume ETH is fully staked at scale; competition in the digital asset treasury, staking, and mining industries; the Company’s dependence on key personnel, including executive leadership; regulatory developments affecting digital assets, blockchain technology, and staking activities in the United States and globally, including the ultimate enactment, implementation, and interpretation of the GENIUS Act and other pending legislation and regulatory initiatives; actions by the SEC, CFTC, and other regulatory bodies affecting digital assets and related businesses; risks related to the Company’s investments in early-stage blockchain opportunities (“moonshot” investments), including the investments in Eightco Holdings and Beast Industries and any indirect exposure to OpenAI; macroeconomic factors, including inflation, interest rates, Federal Reserve monetary policy, labor market conditions, and general economic conditions affecting investor sentiment toward digital assets; the accuracy of management’s expectations regarding the ETH/BTC ratio and the impact of tokenization and agentic-AI applications on Ethereum; the unpredictability of cryptocurrency market cycles and the accuracy of expectations regarding future crypto cycles; changes to the Ethereum protocol, including staking mechanics, validator requirements, and reward structures; risks related to AI systems and their potential impact on cryptocurrency markets and blockchain technology; the performance of third-party service providers, exchanges, custodians, and staking partners; risks related to the concentration of the Company’s assets in digital currencies, particularly Ethereum; and the other risk factors described in the Company’s filings with the SEC.
