China’s Liquidity Surge Could Catalyze a Significant Bitcoin Rally

by admin October 17, 2025

written by admin

As of October 2025, China has injected a substantial $24.9 trillion into its economy, a move that could potentially precipitate a notable rally in the cryptocurrency market, particularly for Bitcoin. This liquidity infusion, aimed at boosting economic growth amidst a sluggish domestic market, might inadvertently benefit cryptocurrencies, which have long been viewed as alternative assets in times of economic uncertainty.

The Chinese government’s decision to flood its economy with liquidity comes in response to a combination of sluggish economic growth, rising debt levels, and the pressing need to stimulate domestic consumption. Historically, such monetary policies have had ripple effects across global financial markets, and the cryptocurrency sector is no exception. Bitcoin, often dubbed digital gold, has experienced notable price surges in the past when traditional financial systems face turbulence or when fiat currency values are perceived to be at risk.

China’s economic strategy has evolved significantly over the years. From a centrally planned economy to a more market-driven one, the country has often used monetary policy as a lever to manage internal and external challenges. The recent liquidity injection underscores this approach, aiming to invigorate spending and investment within its borders. While the primary goal is to stabilize the Chinese economy, global investors and crypto enthusiasts are closely watching these developments, anticipating a potential spillover into Bitcoin markets.

In historical context, China has played a pivotal role in Bitcoin’s journey. At various points, Chinese traders and miners have dominated the Bitcoin ecosystem. Even after regulatory crackdowns, China still influences the crypto world indirectly through global trade partners and its position in the global financial system. The current liquidity boost might encourage Chinese investors to seek alternative stores of value, given the potential depreciation of the yuan due to increased money supply.

This scenario brings to mind similar conditions in other countries where loose monetary policies have led to increased interest in Bitcoin. For example, in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, several nations, including the United States, introduced large-scale stimulus measures. These initiatives coincided with Bitcoin reaching new price heights, as investors sought to hedge against inflationary pressures.

However, not everyone is convinced that China’s liquidity injection will automatically translate to a Bitcoin rally. There are risks and counterarguments to consider. For one, China’s regulatory environment remains stringent. Despite increased liquidity, the Chinese government continues to maintain tight control over capital flows and has taken measures in the past to restrict cryptocurrency transactions. This regulatory stance could dampen the direct impact of China’s monetary policies on Bitcoin trading activity within the country.

Moreover, the correlation between liquidity injections and Bitcoin price increases is not always straightforward. While liquidity can boost asset prices, the outcome depends on various factors, including investor sentiment, global economic conditions, and the regulatory climate. If Chinese investors opt to channel funds into traditional assets or real estate, the anticipated impact on Bitcoin might be less pronounced.

There’s also the broader question of how sustainable such a liquidity-driven rally might be. Bitcoin’s volatility is well-documented, and sharp price increases can be followed by equally steep declines. If Chinese liquidity does drive up Bitcoin prices, it could attract speculative activity, leading to heightened volatility and potential market corrections. This volatility remains a significant risk for both new and seasoned investors.

In addition to these factors, global geopolitical dynamics must be considered. Tensions between major economies, including the United States and China, could influence investor behavior. Such tensions might either prompt a flight to decentralized assets like Bitcoin or lead to increased regulation and scrutiny of cryptocurrency markets.

Yet, despite these challenges, the potential for a Bitcoin rally sparked by China’s liquidity moves remains a tantalizing prospect for many. Bitcoin’s allure lies in its decentralized nature and its perceived role as a hedge against traditional financial systems. As long as economic uncertainties persist, Bitcoin is likely to retain its appeal among certain investor segments.

The adoption of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is also expanding globally, with major financial institutions and corporations exploring blockchain technology and integrating cryptocurrencies into their service offerings. This growing acceptance, coupled with increased liquidity in major economies, could create fertile ground for Bitcoin’s next bull run.

In conclusion, while the $24.9 trillion liquidity injection by China has the potential to drive Bitcoin prices upward, the situation is multifaceted. The intersection of economic policy, regulatory considerations, and market sentiment makes predicting the exact impact on Bitcoin challenging. Nevertheless, the larger financial landscape and Bitcoin’s historical performance offer a compelling backdrop for those speculating on the future of cryptocurrencies. As the global economy continues to evolve, the interplay between national policies and decentralized digital assets will remain a critical area of interest for investors worldwide.

SOL Tests Critical Support at $183 as SEC ETF Delay Triggers 2.3% Decline

by admin October 17, 2025

Luisa Crawford
Oct 17, 2025 16:38

Solana trading at $183.07 after SEC postpones ETF decision, testing key support near 200-day moving average while breaking year-long downtrend signals conflicting signals.

Quick Take

• SOL trading at $183.07 (down 2.3% in 24h) • SEC delays Solana ETF decision citing market integrity concerns • Testing critical support near 200-day moving average at $173.95 • Following broader crypto weakness as Bitcoin declines

Market Events Driving Solana Price Movement

The SEC’s decision yesterday to delay multiple Solana ETF applications has created immediate selling pressure on SOL price, with the token dropping from Tuesday’s highs near $192 to current levels around $183. The regulatory setback comes at a particularly sensitive time, as institutional investors had been positioning for potential ETF approval following the success of Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs.

The postponement, citing concerns over “market integrity and investor protection,” represents a significant headwind for near-term SOL price appreciation. This regulatory uncertainty has overshadowed what was otherwise a constructive technical development earlier this week when Solana broke its year-long macro downtrend on October 13th.

Despite the ETF setback, the successful reclaim of the downtrend line as support suggests underlying strength in Solana’s market structure. However, the immediate focus has shifted to whether SOL can hold key technical levels amid this regulatory overhang.

SOL Technical Analysis: Testing Critical Support Zone

Price Action Context

SOL price currently sits just above its 200-day moving average at $173.95, marking the first significant test of this key long-term support level since the recent breakout. The token remains well below its shorter-term moving averages, with the 20-day SMA at $210.83 now acting as overhead resistance.

Trading volume on Binance spot market reached $1.23 billion in the past 24 hours, indicating heightened institutional interest during this technical test. The fact that SOL is holding above the 200-day MA despite negative news suggests some underlying buying support at these levels.

Key Technical Indicators

The RSI at 39.10 has moved into neutral territory from previously oversold levels, suggesting the selling pressure may be stabilizing. However, the MACD histogram at -3.54 continues to show bearish momentum, indicating the downward pressure hasn’t fully dissipated.

Bollinger Bands analysis shows SOL price positioned at just 0.11 within the bands, placing it very close to the lower band support at $175.10. This positioning often precedes either a bounce or a breakdown, making the next 24-48 hours critical for Solana technical analysis.

Critical Price Levels for Solana Traders

Immediate Levels (24-48 hours)

• Resistance: $192.33 (24-hour high and 7-day SMA convergence) • Support: $173.95 (200-day moving average and psychological level)

Breakout/Breakdown Scenarios

A break below $173.95 would target the strong support zone at $168.79, representing a potential 7-8% decline from current levels. Conversely, a successful defense of the 200-day MA with a move back above $192 would suggest the ETF delay impact is being absorbed and could target the immediate resistance at $210.

SOL Correlation Analysis

• Bitcoin: SOL is closely following Bitcoin’s weakness today, maintaining its typical 0.7-0.8 correlation during risk-off periods in crypto markets • Traditional markets: Limited impact from equity markets today, with crypto-specific regulatory concerns driving price action • Sector peers: Solana showing relative weakness compared to other layer-1 tokens due to ETF-specific headwinds

Trading Outlook: Solana Near-Term Prospects

Bullish Case

A successful hold above $173.95 combined with any positive regulatory clarity could trigger a sharp recovery toward $200-210 levels. The year-long downtrend break remains intact, providing structural support for higher prices once the ETF uncertainty clears.

Bearish Case

Failure to hold the 200-day moving average would likely trigger algorithmic selling toward $168.79, with further downside risk to $155-160 if broader crypto markets deteriorate. Extended regulatory delays could keep SOL price suppressed through Q4.

Risk Management

Conservative traders should consider stops below $170 to limit downside exposure. Given the 14-day ATR of $16.43, position sizing should account for potential 8-10% daily moves during this volatile period.

Ethereum Falls Below $4,000, But A Price Rebound Could Be Near

by admin October 17, 2025

written by admin

Ethereum has slipped below the $4,000 mark for the first time this month, trading around $3,727 at press time.

The decline reflects the lack of broad market support that has affected most major cryptocurrencies. Still, investors appear to be stepping in, signaling potential for a recovery in the coming days.

Ethereum Investors Show Support

The short-term holder Net Unrealized Profit/Loss (STH-NUPL) ratio recently dipped into the capitulation zone, indicating that most short-term holders are now realizing losses. Historically, this phase often precedes a market rebound as selling pressure eases and new demand begins to build. Ethereum’s current position mirrors past cycles where such loss conditions triggered a price reversal.

ETH Price May Bounce Back

Ethereum’s price currently sits at $3,727, having fallen from $4,000 in the past 48 hours. However, technical indicators suggest that the altcoin may soon see a reversal, with investors preparing to defend key support levels.

If Ethereum bounces off the $3,742 support line, it could climb back toward $4,000. A successful breach of that barrier would likely push ETH higher, targeting the $4,221 level once again. This movement would align with historical recovery trends seen after periods of capitulation.

Still, a failure by investors to sustain momentum could trigger a deeper correction. Should the market sentiment turn bearish, Ethereum may decline toward $3,489. A drop below this level would invalidate the short-term bullish outlook, delaying any potential rebound.

These Two European Countries Surprisingly Lead Crypto Adoption

by admin October 17, 2025

written by admin

A recent study claims that Russia and the UK have higher crypto adoption than anywhere else in Europe. These nations are taking very different approaches, but the raw data can provide important insights.

Technically, the UK is actually falling behind, relatively speaking, as Russia surpassed it, and EU members are catching up. Hopefully, adoption will continue growing across the sector.

Crypto Adoption in Europe

The EU’s comprehensive MiCA regulations have caused a lot of consternation in local crypto markets; prominent firms left the region, building fears that it would become non-competitive.

A new report helps validate some of these claims, as the two countries in Europe with the highest crypto adoption levels aren’t in the EU at all.

Crypto Adoption in Europe. Source: Chainalysis

On the contrary, Russia and Great Britain currently dominate crypto adoption in Europe. Even then, both of these nations are approaching the same question from different angles.

The UK recently ceded its top spot to Britain, and the gulf between it and EU powerhouses like France and Germany is narrowing.

Aggressive new taxes are driving many businesses out of this market too, but the political system is trying to pivot away from disaster. Institutional figures and far-right ideologues alike are urging more pro-Web3 reforms, and this fight is making progress.

Russian Sanctions Evasion

Russia, on the other hand, is tackling the Web3 industry with vigor and zeal. Chainalysis claims that Russia’s large institutional investors are adopting crypto more than any other investor class in Europe, and DeFi’s use in sanctions evasion makes a clear use case.

Plus, the state is also heavily invested in this sector. Russian government financing pops up everywhere from ruble-backed stablecoins to alleged covert operations, giving the industry a powerful ally.

Of course, this sort of operation looks quite different from an organic DeFi business sector, but it’s nonetheless encouraging grassroots adoption.

Hopefully, the rest of Europe will continue catching up to Britain, with actual adoption and Web3 innovation increasing. The EU is relaxing some of its worst restrictions, and TradFi crypto investment is on the rise.

This could help make the market competitive on the world stage again.

Still, there’s an important lesson here. Even if Russia’s state-approved use of crypto for sanctions evasion seems unsavory, it is yielding tangible benefits. The EU will need to provide a competing model if it wants to regain prominence in grassroots crypto adoption.

Bank of England’s £20,000 stablecoin cap sends ‘terrible signal’ to crypto, says Lord – DL News

by admin October 17, 2025

written by admin

The Bank of England’s stablecoin limits received fresh criticism.
Restricting stablecoin use sends ‘terrible signal’ to businesses, says member of the Lords.
The central bank’s deputy governor defended the limits in a Wednesday speech.

Pushback is mounting against the Bank of England’s proposal to restrict stablecoin holdings for UK individuals and businesses.

On Thursday, the central bank’s plan, which would limit individual stablecoin holdings to between £10,000 and £20,000, and business to $10 million, received fresh criticism in the House of Lords.

“Does this not send a terrible signal to people who want to base their crypto businesses in the UK?” Lord Ed Vaizey, co-chair of the UK Parliament’s Crypto and Digital Assets All Party Parliamentary Group, asked in a Thursday debate.

Vaizey called on the bank to publish their modelling that justifies the restrictions.

“Transparency matters — especially when the stakes are this high,” he said in a follow up post on social media.

The Bank of England first proposed limiting the amount of stablecoins individuals can hold in November 2023. At the time, it cited concerns that crypto tokens pegged to currencies like the pound could weaken the banking system by draining it of deposits.

In recent weeks the bank said it planned to press ahead with the proposal, eliciting a fresh wave of backlash.

Several crypto firms operating in the UK said the restrictions would put the country at a disadvantage and that the rules would be difficult and costly to enforce. Critics also argue that other major financial centers, like the US and EU, have not proposed similar caps.

“Consistent hostility to crypto innovation, systematic debanking, and payment rails deliberately squeezed,” Ben Lee, a partner at Andersen, a tax services firm, said.

“This serves no-one’s interest other than the banks, and is a clear message the UK is not open for digital asset business.”

Mounting pressure

The debate comes amid a renewed push from lawmakers to regulate digital assets in the UK.

In August, a parliamentary group co-chaired by Vaizey started working to bring cryptocurrency back to the forefront of the legislative process.

In September, the Financial Conduct Authority, the UK’s markets regulator, opened up a consultation on proposed crypto rules. The same month, the UK and US established a new taskforce, which aims to enhance collaboration on crypto asset regulation and other financial activities.

Pressure for the UK to regulate the crypto industry is mounting. In July, landmark stablecoin regulation in the US spurred a wave of investment, and gave the green light to more financial firms to start leveraging blockchain technology.

Crypto businesses are hopeful that the UK could also benefit similarly from favourable regulation.

“The opportunity for the UK is huge,” Matthew Osborne, Ripple’s policy director for Europe and UK, said. “If the regulatory framework is designed correctly, it can facilitate innovation, enhance financial inclusion and solidify the UK’s position as a competitive global financial centre.”

Only temporary?

The Bank of England has so far held firm on the proposed stablecoin caps, potentially putting a damper on the situation.

“Our focus here is on ensuring the real economy’s continued access to credit, by ensuring the financial system has time gradually to adjust to new forms of digital money,” Sarah Breeden, Deputy Governor of the Bank of England for Financial Stability, said in a speech at DC Fintech Week on Wednesday.

She said there would likely be exceptions to the $10 million cap for large businesses, like supermarkets, and that the bank intends to seek feedback on implementing the limits.

“We would expect to remove the limits once we see that the transition no longer threatens the provision of finance to the real economy,” Breeden said.

How the central bank will come to such a determination, Breeden didn’t say.

Arthur Hayes-Backed Family Office Seeks $250M to Buy Crypto Service Firms: Bloomberg

by admin October 17, 2025

written by admin

Arthur Hayes’ family office, Maelstrom, is angling to raise $250 million for a debut private equity fund targeting mid-sized crypto firms, according to a Bloomberg report on Friday.

The fund plans to invest $40 million to $75 million per deal, acquiring up to six companies focused on trading infrastructure, analytics, and related services.

Maelstrom is going after non-token equity deals where valuations are based on cash flows, not speculative token allocations.

“These kinds of businesses are a lot easier to acquire,” Maelstrom co-founder and managing partner Akshat Vaidya said. “You can’t artificially inflate valuations with an unused token.”

The fund, which will be registered in the U.S., intends to structure acquisitions via special-purpose vehicles, anchoring with its capital and bringing in co-investors. Vaidya targets a first close by March 31 next year with full funding wrapped by September 2026. Hayes and partner Adam Schlegel will lead the effort, with plans to build out a broader management team.

Hayes himself remains a prominent figure in crypto, credited with inventing perpetual swaps and influencing innovations such as Ethena’s synthetic dollar.

Maelstrom did not respond to CoinDesk’s request for further comment.

Here’s What Bitcoin Traders Should Watch Out for This Weekend

by admin October 17, 2025

written by admin

In brief

Bitcoin dropped early Friday amid uncertainty over Trump’s proposed China tariffs, with analysts watching the critical $103,000 support level.
Short-term holders who bought around $113,000 are selling, while the “Coinbase premium” has turned negative, signaling weakened U.S. demand.
Broader market pressure from U.S. banking concerns and $1.2 billion in liquidations over 24 hours has pushed crypto’s overall market cap down.

Bitcoin continued to fall early Friday as President Donald Trump waffled on the high tariffs he proposed for China last week.

Heading into the weekend, investors need to watch the $103,000 price level, an analyst told Decrypt.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading for $106,953 and now sits about 11% lower than it was this time last week, and nearly 8% lower than BTC was trading for a month ago, according to crypto price aggregator CoinGecko.

Popular CryptoQuant analyst JA_Maartun told Decrypt the dropping prices spooked short-term holders who bought BTC around $113,000. Short-term holders refers to wallets that have held Bitcoin for less than 155 days.

“The [short-term holders] realized price provided support for an extended period, but finally broke after the fifth test,” he said. “This breakdown has triggered additional selling pressure, compounded by Coinbase, where the premium gap has flipped away.”

To be clear, he’s not blaming Coinbase for Bitcoin’s losses. The “Coinbase premium” refers to Bitcoin’s price on the San Francisco-based exchange being slightly higher than overseas competitors, like Binance.

When that’s the case, it signals strong U.S. demand for Bitcoin. But when it turns negative, as JA_Maartun mentioned, it signals U.S. traders are selling or demand for BTC has weakened.

He said he’s watching the $103,000 level because it’s roughly 10% lower than the short-term holders realized price, and an indicator he said has acted as key support throughout the 2025 bull run.

“If price reaches this area, it will be an important level to monitor,” he said.

Source: JA_Maartun

Users on Myriad, a prediction market owned by Decrypt parent company DASTAN, think Bitcoin is more likely to sink to $100,000 before it reclaims $120,000. As of Friday morning, 65.8% of users think it’ll fall to the lower level before rebounding.

“Now that Bitcoin has broken the recent $110K-$108K consolidation range to the downside, we are watching $100K as the next support level,” Julio Morena, head of research at CryptoQuant, told Decrypt. “This level represents the traders’ on-chain realized price lower band, which has acted as the last price support during this bull cycle.”

He added that Bitcoin staying above $100,000—and in the six-figure range—marks “an important psychological support level.”

For now, though, there are signs that trade tensions are starting to ease.

“It’s not sustainable,” Trump said during an interview with Fox Business, referring to the 100% tariff rate he proposed on China last week. “But that’s what the number is, it’s probably not, you know, it could stand, but they forced me to do that.”

Trump confirmed during the interview that he plans to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea later this month.

The tariffs rate he proposed last week led to the liquidation of more than $19 billion worth of crypto contracts. But even as trade trouble fades, there’s growing concern over credit risk among U.S. regional banks.

JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon hinted during an earnings call this week that the bankruptcies of two auto firms—and hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of bad loans tied to them—is an indicator that there’ll be more failures.

“I probably shouldn’t say this, but when you see one cockroach, there are probably more,” he said on Tuesday.

The resulting unease among traders has painted equities and crypto markets red. Major stock market indices opened the day in the red, with the Nasdaq still down as of this writing, and the global crypto market capitalization has contracted, falling 2.8% to $3.66 trillion as of Friday morning.

“We’re seeing concurrent pressure from U.S. banking concerns, BOJ rate hike signals, and a cascading wave of liquidations that has wiped out over $1.2 billion in leveraged positions in the last 24 hours alone,” Marcin Kazmierczak, co-founder of crypto oracle provider RedStone told Decrypt.

He said he’s particularly concerned about institutional pullback.

“What’s particularly notable is the synchronized institutional selling. None of 12 Bitcoin ETFs posted net inflows yesterday,” Kazmierczak added. “The market is testing critical support levels. That said, this is still within normal volatility.”

XLM Down 6% Amid Heavy Sell Pressure

by admin October 17, 2025

written by admin

Stellar Lumens (XLM) faced notable institutional selling pressure between Oct. 16 and 17, declining 6.25% from $0.32 to $0.30 during a 23-hour trading period.

Trading volume surged to 89.11 million tokens, with peak liquidation occurring between 06:00 and 08:00 GMT on October 17. Analysts attributed the move to coordinated institutional profit-taking rather than retail panic, as corporate treasury managers adjusted positions at technical resistance levels.

During the final trading hour, XLM demonstrated characteristic institutional rebalancing behavior, fluctuating within a 1.99% price range between $0.299 and $0.305 before settling at $0.303. This activity reflected algorithmic trading systems completing execution cycles as institutional desks finalized their short-term reallocation strategies.

Despite short-term volatility, the Stellar Development Foundation’s successful deployment of Protocol 23 has strengthened the network’s long-term fundamentals. The upgrade increased enterprise transaction capacity to 5,000 operations per second through enhanced smart contract parallel processing, positioning Stellar for broader adoption by regulated financial institutions.

Market structure analysis revealed systematic institutional trading patterns, with algorithms establishing firm resistance at $0.31 and support around $0.30. Two distinct trading phases were observed—initial corporate buying followed by strategic profit-taking—culminating in price stabilization near $0.303 as institutional rebalancing concluded.

XLM/USD (TradingView)

Technical Analysis

Institutional trading volume peaked at 91.33 million tokens during primary liquidation windows, significantly exceeding the 43.47 million average for corporate trading sessions.
Systematic resistance established at $0.31 reflects institutional profit-taking protocols and risk management frameworks.
Corporate support levels emerged near $0.29 during maximum liquidation pressure from treasury management operations.
Volume-weighted institutional selling patterns indicate continued corporate rebalancing through Q4 earnings preparation.
Final hour consolidation around $0.303 with diminishing institutional activity suggests completion of systematic position adjustments.
Corporate recovery attempts demonstrated brief institutional buying interest but failed to sustain above $0.305 resistance levels.

$1 Billion XRP Buying Pressure Ahead: Ripple Labs Plans DAT

by admin October 17, 2025

written by admin

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Ripple Labs is spearheading an effort to raise at least $1 billion to accumulate XRP via a new digital-asset treasury, or DAT, according to Bloomberg, signaling that the latest bout of market turmoil has not dislodged heavyweight players from advancing aggressive balance-sheet strategies tied to crypto assets.

$1 Billion XRP Buying Pressure Ahead?

People familiar with the matter told Bloomberg the vehicle would be capitalized through a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), with Ripple also planning to contribute some of its own XRP. “Representatives for Ripple did not respond to requests for comment. Exact terms of the transaction remain under discussion and could change,” Bloomberg reported, underscoring that while the plan is live, its contours are not yet finalized.

The timing places Ripple’s move squarely against a fragile market backdrop. A week after a heavy selloff triggered record liquidations, sentiment remains brittle. Against that context, the contemplated DAT is notable on several fronts.

First, the scale: “Ripple Labs Inc. is leading an effort to raise at least $1 billion to accumulate XRP,” Bloomberg reported, adding that if completed, “it would be the biggest one to focus on XRP.”

Second, the structure: a SPAC-funded DAT reflects the 2025 wave of publicly listed token accumulators that have proliferated through reverse takeovers or SPAC listings. Bloomberg observed that “throughout 2025, digital-asset boosters set up an array of publicly listed token accumulators,” noting that “today, there are more than 300 entities holding Bitcoin alone, according to BitcoinTreasuries.net.”

The Market Backdrop

While Bitcoin-focused treasuries dominate that landscape, Bloomberg emphasized that “XRP hasn’t drawn the same level of interest from DAT investors as Bitcoin.” This initiative would attempt to change that balance. By design, a DAT channels committed capital into a defined acquisition mandate—here, XRP—creating programmatic buy-side flow that can be measured against circulating supply dynamics and secondary-market liquidity.

The framing of $1 billion in potential purchasing capacity invites obvious questions about incremental demand. Yet the wire also cautions that investor appetite for token accumulators has cooled: “Investors have also gotten more skeptical about DATs, with shares of major crypto accumulators including Michael Saylor’s Strategy Inc. and Japan’s Metaplanet Inc. posting steep declines in recent months.” That skepticism is precisely the environment in which Ripple is attempting to stand up a new vehicle.

While XRP-specific accumulation vehicles have been relatively scarce compared to Bitcoin, there are a few already established: In May, sustainable-energy firm VivoPower International announced a $121 million fundraising.
Notably, the report comes the same day that Ripple agreed to buy treasury management software provider GTreasury for $1 billion, according to a Thursday announcement.

At press time, XRP traded at $2.33.
